Create a United Healthcare Student Account
United Heath Care Student Resources "My Account" allows insured members to access insurance information online any time of day or night. This secure site provides online access to coverage information, print-friendly replacement ID cards and claims status.
This user guide provides a roadmap for users setting up their online account for the first time, and for those who have forgotten their user name or password. You can also print this informational brochure.
To start
Open www.uhcsr.com in your web browser.
Create an online account by clicking the Create Your Own Online Account Now link in the Direct Links section on the right side of the screen.
First Step
Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth in the fields provided.
Next, you will need to enter your my.utsa.edu e-mail address or your SR ID number and click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the screen.
Note: Your SR ID number is the 7-digit identification number found on your United Healthcare Student Resources Medical ID card.
You must use your "my.utsa.edu" e-mail address in the account creation process. We will use that e-mail address in the matching process to ensure that we match you with the correct claim information.
Second Step
Now you can change or update your e-mail address.
You will be required to choose a user name and password. Your user name can be up to 30 alpha-numeric characters, and your password must be at least 6 characters in length and contain at least one (1) number.
The user name and password are how you log into the site during future visits. Be sure to record them.
Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.
Successful Account Creation
You should see a confirmation screen to show you successfully created your account.
A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided as proof of successful account creation.
Reset Your Account Password
If you have forgotten your user name or password, click the link on the Login Page: "Forgot User Name or Password"
Click the appropriate button (either user name or password), and provide your First Name, Last Name, and E-mail Address.
If a match is found, United HealthCare will e-mail your information to the e-mail address provided when you set up your account. You will be given a temporary password that must be changed once you log back into your account.
Click the "link in the e-mail message" you receive, and log into your account using the password provided in the e-mail. You will be instructed to change your password upon a successful log in.
If no match is found, you will see a message that instructs you to try again, or call our Customer Service Department at 800-767-0700 for further assistance.
